State-1 Government provides 180 two-wheelers to Nepal Police

State-1 Government has provided 180 two-wheelers to the Nepal Police. Organizing a brief formal function Sunday at the premises of the Internal Affairs and the Law Ministry of the state-1, keys of the vehicles were handed over to the police.

Internal Affairs and Law Minister Hikmat Karki handed over the keys of the motorbikes and scooters to the Police Chief of the State-1 Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Ishwar Babu Karki. The ministry provided 170 motorbikes and 10 scooters to the police force.

Speaking on the function minister Karki who is also the spokesperson of the State-1 Government, said it was the policy of the State Government to equip all units of Nepal Police. ”People involved in various criminal activities are switching to new and news forms of crimes”, said Karki, ”In order to counter and control that, we need to make Nepal Police more resourceful and stronger.”

DIG Karki also praised State-1 Government for the technical support. ”These new vehicles have encouraged Nepal Police. This will help the policing activities from the low level.” Likewise, in order to make the traffic policing more effective, the ministry has given 10 motorbikes to the State Number 1 Traffic Police Office based in Itahari.
