Parliamentary listening begins
The procedure of parliamentary hearing of the Nepali ambassadors proposed to be appointed for Germany, Belgium and Pakistan has begun. The Federal Parliamentary Hearing Committee has initiated the technique along with a be aware inviting complaints, if any, towards the proposed candidates.
The government has proposed Joint Secretaries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gehendra Rajbhandari (to Belgium and EU), Tapas Adhikari (to Pakistan) and Ram Kaji Khadka (to Germany) as the new ambassadors of Nepal. Their names have been dispatched for the parliamentary hearing. The Friday meeting of the Committee had decided to submit a note in search of complaints inside 10 days on the proposed candidates, according to its Chair Laxman Lal Karna. Following endorsement via the parliamentary listening to committee, the appointments are made through the President on the advice of the government.
