Minister Thapa’s helicopter returns Pokhara to due to unfavorable weather
A chopper carrying Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa towards Dhorpatan area of Baglung district again midway due to adverse weather condition. The helicopter returned to Pokhara, it is said. Minister Thapa was once on his way to visit Dhorpatan to take stock of the damages prompted by way of the flooding befell seeing that ultimate night.
Member of House of Representatives (HoR) from Baglung, Devendra Poudel, and Chief Executive Officer of National Natural Disaster and Risk Reduction and Management Authority, Anil Pokharel, had been also on board.
According to Minister Thapa’s press coordinator Kiran Bhattarai, the helicopter will again fly to Baglung after the clear weather. Similarly, Chief District Officer of Baglung Suresh Neupane said that the street section to and from Dhorpatan is additionally disrupted due to the landslide adding that a rescue crew is on foot towards the site. According to him, 11 dead our bodies have been recovered as 36 have long past missing in the incident.
